Supported accommodation for young people aged 16–17
A place to belong. A path to independence.
Ghausia Homes is developing a supported accommodation service for young people aged 16 to 17. Our proposed model combines small, welcoming homes with careful matching, practical independence support and clear communication with local authorities.

Our proposed model
What we are building
Step 1: Small homes that feel domestic
We are preparing small, welcoming homes rather than large settings, so a young person has space, privacy and a household that feels personal.Step 2: Careful matching
We intend to assess each referral against the young people already living in a home, and to decline a placement where we do not believe the match would work.Step 3: Practical independence support
Support will be built into everyday life: cooking, budgeting, health appointments, education, employment and training, and preparing for move-on.Step 4: Clear communication with local authorities
We are designing our recording and reporting so social workers and personal advisers receive clear, timely updates on progress and any concerns.
Where we are
Not yet accepting placements
Ghausia Homes is in development. We are not accepting placements or referrals, and we are not making any claim about registration status.
Providers of supported accommodation for 16- and 17-year-olds in England must be registered with Ofsted under the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 (opens in a new tab). We will publish our registration details on this site only once they are officially confirmed.
